AB 124 is another new proposed bill. This relates to PC 1170. As you know, the legislature recently amended that law let DAs petition the court to resentence people even though they were long ago convicted and sentenced. AB 124 would, among other things, let those incarcerated to petition the court DIRECTLY for resentencing. Am I a dork or is reading pending bills in this new era of reform the most enjoyable thing ever?!
